Seedlings of the carrotwood tree frequently come up as
weeds
in my garden. It took quite a while to connect the seedlings with
an
adult tree so that I could identify them.
These
are the flowers on the tree. The carrotwood
is a common street tree in this area.
This
shows the fruit. At maturity they split open
and allow the seeds to drop out. Then the birds eat them.
Here
seeds I find under the wires where the birds like to
perch and socialize.
