The common mallow is a very common
weed, one which I must constantly be removing from my flower
beds. It is also known as cheese weed, because of the shape of
its fruit. If permitted, it will grow to two feet or higher.
The flowers of the common mallow are
very small, and not very pretty.
The fruit are supposed to look like a
wheel of cheese, hence the name cheese weed.
